Anti-Gangster Task Force Nabs Two Armed Suspects in Bathinda

Bathinda, March 21: In a significant operation against crime in Punjab, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has successfully apprehended two suspects in Bathinda. The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Bathinda police, resulted in the recovery of illegal firearms from the accused.

The suspects have been identified as Jackie Kumar, also known as Jackie, and Vikas Arora. Reports indicate that the duo was plotting to rob a businessman in Bathinda when police intervened. Authorities recovered two .32 bore country-made pistols, a magazine, and four cartridges from their possession.

Initial investigations reveal that the weapons were reportedly brought from Delhi. The police are now working to connect the dots within the network to identify any additional accomplices involved.

Vikas Arora has a criminal history, having previously been implicated in domestic violence cases.

Earlier, the AGTF Punjab, in conjunction with Haryana’s Special Task Force (Karnal Unit), executed another major operation, arresting two close associates of fugitive gangster Lucky Patiala, identified as Rajan, also known as Piyush Pehalwan, and Preetam Shah. Both are believed to be linked to the Bambiha gang.

These suspects are accused of involvement in a high-profile murder case that occurred on March 18 in Sector 9, Chandigarh, resulting in the death of Charanpreet Singh, also known as Chinni, which has caused considerable alarm in the area.

Punjab police have reiterated their commitment to taking stringent action against crime and gangster activities in the state, promising to continue such operations against offenders.
