BJP Criticizes Congress After Siddaramaiahs Resignation

New Delhi, May 28: The political atmosphere in Karnataka has intensified following Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation. Leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have launched a sharp attack on the Congress party, raising serious questions about the state’s political dynamics.

BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh targeted Congress, suggesting that there is a ‘tendering system’ for power within the party. He compared the allocation of states and positions to a bidding process, stating that the leader with the ‘highest bid’ is appointed as Chief Minister, while those who fall behind are removed. Vallabh asserted that Siddaramaiah’s bid was weak, leading to his ousting.

He further criticized Congress for presenting a model where leadership selection resembles a bidding process rather than a transparent political procedure.

Vallabh also commented on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, questioning the existence of the India Alliance. He pointed out that opposition parties in various states are not contesting elections together but are instead fighting separate battles.

He highlighted that in states like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, opposition parties have fought elections independently, raising doubts about the actual existence of a coalition. Vallabh argued that if no coalition exists, the claim of leadership is also questionable.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson RP Singh expressed concern over the situation in Karnataka, noting that political turmoil in the state has directly impacted governance. He stated that the ongoing instability within the government is adversely affecting the public.

Singh mentioned that civic services in major cities like Bengaluru have been disrupted, and administrative processes have slowed down. He accused Congress leadership of being entangled in internal disputes, which is hindering the state’s development efforts.
