Jhajjar, February 7: The Indian U-19 Cricket team clinched the World Cup title by defeating England by 100 runs in the final match held on February 6. Kanishk Chauhan’s all-round performance has sparked celebrations in his family and village.
Kanishk’s mother, Sarita Chauhan, expressed her excitement in an interview, stating, “We have made all preparations for Kanishk’s return. He will be welcomed on February 9 with a grand ceremony. We plan to greet him with Churma.”
She also shared a message for parents, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and nurturing children’s talents at the right time. “It is essential to support children. If we provide support, they will undoubtedly deliver results.”
Kanishk’s father, Pradeep Chauhan, praised his son’s outstanding performance, stating, “We did not expect such a remarkable display at this level, but he played exceptionally well. We hope our son will soon join the senior team and bring honor to the country.” He confirmed that a ceremony is being organized on February 9 in honor of Kanishk.
Kanishk’s sister, Shivani Chauhan, expressed her pride, saying, “We are very happy with Kanishk Bhaiya’s performance. He played so well, and we are very proud of him.”
His uncle, Gopal Singh Chauhan, congratulated the Indian team on their victory in the U-19 World Cup and shared his happiness about Kanishk’s performance. “We are organizing a ceremony on February 9 to honor him, and we are eagerly waiting for Kanishk’s return.”
Kanishk’s nephew, Raj, added, “Today was our uncle’s match. He hit boundaries and took wickets. We had a lot of fun.”
