Respect for Places of Worship Essential, Says MP Fauzia Khan

New Delhi, March 21: NCP-SP MP Fauzia Khan has responded to the demand for affidavits from non-Hindus wishing to visit the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples. She emphasized the importance of respecting one’s places of worship.

Speaking to reporters, Khan stated, “You are aware of the current situation in the country. If some people want non-Hindus not to come, that is their belief. Besides, why would non-Hindus want to visit temples when they have their own places of worship?”

She reiterated that respect for all places of worship is crucial, as every religion teaches love and harmony among people.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Khan extended her wishes to all her fellow citizens, saying, “Eid signifies joy; today is a day of happiness. The 30 days of Ramadan have concluded, and charity has been a significant part of this month.”

Khan further conveyed a message of peace and brotherhood, urging everyone to pray for harmony in the country, stating, “It is essential for our nation.”

In addressing the ongoing oil and gas crisis, Khan remarked, “The ground reality is entirely different from the government’s claims. People are facing difficulties. It is not just a matter of panic over gas; people are waiting in long queues, and it is not easily available. Rising gas prices are also causing significant distress.”

The NCP-SP MP described the situation as an energy crisis that could have been avoided with better planning, saying, “We did not plan adequately, which is why citizens are struggling.”
