Khatima, February 7: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the Winter Carnival organized by the Government College in Khatima on Saturday. During the event, he emphasized that the youth are the greatest strength of the nation and represent its future.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, CM Dhami expressed his enthusiasm for addressing artists and youth at the Winter Carnival, organized by the student union of the college. He reiterated that empowering youth is a continuous effort of the government.
To connect young people with employment and recognize their skills, talent, and potential, effective and stringent laws have been implemented to ensure that merit is given top priority. As a result of these efforts, over 28,000 youths in the state have secured employment so far.
While addressing the gathering, CM Dhami noted the introduction of spiritual and cultural initiatives like Bhajan Clubbing at the Winter Carnival for the first time. He stated that such initiatives symbolize not just a program but also the essence of our eternal culture, traditions, and youthful consciousness. This reflects that the youth are firmly connected to their roots, culture, and heritage while embracing modernity.
He highlighted that conveying a positive message to youth through music, devotion, and culture is the greatest achievement of such events and congratulated the student union for their efforts.
Additionally, CM Dhami visited the home of former district panchayat member Ram Singh Jethi to express his condolences on the passing of his wife. He also paid tribute to BJP leader Dhillu Singh Rana and senior social worker Jashodhar Bhatt at their residences in Kanjabagh.
