Netanyahu Claims Destruction of Hezbollahs Major Terror Tunnel

Jerusalem, April 28: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the destruction of a significant Hezbollah tunnel that has been under construction for nearly a decade. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on the social media platform X that the IDF has blown up a massive terrorist tunnel and is dismantling Hezbollah’s infrastructure, resulting in the deaths of dozens of terrorists. He further mentioned that more actions are yet to come.

The IDF reported that under the operations of Division 36 in southern Lebanon’s Kuntar, they discovered the most crucial underground tunnel found in Lebanon to date. This tunnel is approximately 2 kilometers long and extends 25 meters below the ground.

It was noted that the tunnel was constructed with assistance from Iran and was destroyed on Tuesday using 450 tons of explosives. According to the IDF, the tunnel was dug into rocky granite and featured 30 shafts, with a length exceeding 2 kilometers across two different axes.

Inside the tunnel, there were 30 rooms adorned with decorations, including images of leaders from the Ayatollah regime and decorative lamps. The IDF also reported that a significant cache of weapons was hidden within the tunnels, used by hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists stationed in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel H of the Hellenic Army’s First Infantry Division, who has been involved in the search for underground tunnels over the past two years, described this discovery as particularly significant. On Monday, the IDF announced the destruction of 14 kilometers of underground tunnels in the northern Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu has ordered the IDF to launch a vigorous attack on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.
