Weather Alert Issued for NCR on May 11-12

Noida, May 9: The weather in the National Capital Region (NCR), including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Delhi, is set to change once again in May. Following several days of clear and dry conditions, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for May 11 and 12.

During this period, strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms are expected. According to the weather department, the weather will remain unsettled throughout the day on May 11, with maximum temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius and minimums at 27 degrees Celsius. Light rain accompanied by thunder and winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour are anticipated in the morning.

In the evening, there is a possibility of very light rain, thunder, and strong winds (40-50 km/h). The alert mentions a ‘thunderstorm with rain’ warning. Similar weather conditions are expected on May 12, with maximum temperatures around 37 degrees and minimums at 27 degrees Celsius.

Humidity levels may rise to between 70 and 35 percent on this day. Light rain, thunder, and strong winds are also forecasted for the afternoon and evening of May 12. The weather department has clearly issued a yellow alert instead of a ‘no warning’ for this period. Prior to this, the weather is expected to remain clear on May 9 and 10, with maximum temperatures of 36 and 38 degrees Celsius, and minimums of 24 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

On May 13, partially cloudy conditions are expected, with maximum temperatures at 36 degrees and minimums at 26 degrees. May 14 is forecasted to have mainly clear skies, with temperatures ranging from 36 to 24 degrees and humidity levels between 60 and 30 percent. According to the weather department, the upcoming rain and strong winds will provide some relief from the increasing heat.
