Trump Accuses Obama of Strengthening Iran with Billions

New Delhi, May 10: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has once again launched a significant attack on Iran’s policies and the approach of former President Barack Obama. Trump alleged that Obama’s administration’s policies economically and politically empowered Iran, which has been deceiving the United States for years.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump stated, “Iran has been playing games with the U.S. and the rest of the world for the past 47 years. They have consistently delayed, adopting a ‘not today, maybe tomorrow’ policy. They got their biggest opportunity when Barack Hussein Obama became President. Obama was not just soft on Iran; he completely sided with them, ignoring Israel and other allied nations, giving Iran a significant chance to regain strength.”

Trump claimed that Iran received hundreds of billions of dollars and that $1.7 billion in cash was sent to Tehran via aircraft. He asserted that so much money was withdrawn from banks in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland that Iranian leaders were bewildered about what to do with it. This money was reportedly unloaded in suitcases and bags, leaving Iranians astonished at the large sum they received.

Labeling Obama as a “weak and foolish president,” Trump stated that Iran finally found a leader they could easily manipulate. He further remarked that while Obama was a poor leader for the U.S., he was not as ineffective as “Sleepy Joe Biden.”

Trump accused Iran of continuously entangling the U.S. over the past 47 years, leading to the deaths of American citizens in roadside bombings and recently killing 42,000 innocent and unarmed protesters. He asserted that Iran would no longer be able to mock the U.S. as the country is becoming “great” again.

Trump’s statement followed remarks from Iranian President Masoud Pajeshkian, who advised not to misinterpret the ongoing peace talks with the U.S. as a sign of weakness. In a social media post on Sunday, Pajeshkian stated, “We will not bow our heads before the enemy. If talks or negotiations arise, it does not mean surrender or retreat. Instead, it aims to uphold Iran’s rights and robustly protect national interests.”
