Inter Milan Clinches 10th Coppa Italia Title with 2-0 Victory Over Lazio

Rome, May 14: Inter Milan secured their 10th Coppa Italia title with a 2-0 victory against Lazio. This win allowed Inter Milan to complete a historic “domestic double” this season. Earlier in May, they had already claimed their 21st Serie A title with three matches to spare.

The first goal for Inter was scored by Marcus Thuram, whose powerful header from a Federico Dimarco corner deflected off Lazio’s Adam Marusic and found the net. Inter doubled their lead in the 35th minute when Lautaro Martinez converted a brilliant pass from Denzel Dumfries into an empty goal.

Following the emphatic win in the final, Inter Milan’s manager, Cristian Chivu, shared his emotions in an interview. He stated, “Inter has won two trophies this season, and we deserved it as our campaign has been excellent. We are extremely happy with what we have achieved over the years.”

He added, “We are also pleased for our incredible fans and the club who have always supported us. Winning the league and Coppa Italia is not something to take lightly; lifting two trophies is never easy.”

Lautaro Martinez expressed, “This is a very important and meaningful victory for us; returning after last year was not easy. We have managed to create a significant season in terms of play, speed, performance, and results. I am happy that we end the year with two trophies; it has been crucial for us. There has always been a lot of talk about Inter Milan in recent years, but we must continue on this path to win titles, as that is what we want: we have won two this season, and we are truly very happy.”
