
New Delhi, June 7: Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta will address the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) India Region Zone-II North Zone conference, scheduled to take place in Chandigarh on June 8 and 9. This significant event will be held at the Haryana Assembly premises.
According to officials, the theme of this two-day conference is “The Role of an Aware Society and Representatives in Realizing the Goals of Developed India 2047.” Various assembly speakers, presiding officers, and legislators from different northern states will participate and engage in extensive discussions regarding the country’s long-term development goals.
The conference aims to strengthen parliamentary institutions, promote modern legislative processes, and enhance democratic cooperation among various states. During the event, representatives and policymakers will come together to discuss social, economic, and administrative challenges and explore effective strategies for solutions.
Representing the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta will actively participate in various sessions. He will share his experiences and suggestions related to empowering citizens, increasing public participation in the democratic process, and strengthening the role of legislative institutions.
Organizers believe that exchanging best practices related to parliamentary procedures will help representatives find better solutions to regional and national issues. Additionally, it will pave the way for a robust roadmap towards achieving the goal of Developed India 2047.
Recently, Vijender Gupta, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, launched the first issue of the Delhi Assembly‘s quarterly magazine “Vidhan-Chetna.” During this event, 89 volumes related to the proceedings of the Central Assembly from 1924 to 1930 were also unveiled.
On that occasion, Vijender Gupta stated that this initiative would serve as an important bridge between India’s rich parliamentary heritage and modern democratic development, while also strengthening democratic discourse alongside the preservation of institutional history.
