
Mau, May 29: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Rural Soldier Hospital in the village of Tajopur, Mau district, on Friday. During the event, he emphasized that true patriotism lies in being free from the debts of one’s birthplace.
The Chief Minister praised Brigadier Dr. P.N. Singh for returning to his homeland after serving 35 years in the Indian Army and working in prestigious institutions both domestically and internationally. He noted that Dr. Singh’s efforts are not just about establishing institutions but are part of a larger mission for nation-building.
Yogi highlighted that after years of service in the Army Medical Corps, Brigadier Dr. P.N. Singh’s decision to return to Tajopur and establish a hospital, nursing college, pharmacy college, ITI, and a soldier public school serves as an inspiration for the entire country. He quoted ancient scriptures, stating that the sentiment of prioritizing one’s birthplace is deeply rooted in Indian culture.
In his address, the Chief Minister referenced Lord Ram’s teachings, underscoring that no matter how successful one becomes, nothing surpasses the importance of one’s birthplace and motherland. He remarked that the Rural Soldier Hospital is a significant center for strengthening rural healthcare.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the educational initiatives at the soldier nursing college, which offers courses in ANM, GNM, post-basic B.Sc., and B.Sc. nursing, alongside pharmacy education through the pharmacy college. The ITI aims to provide technical training to youth, enhancing employment opportunities in the region.
He stated that these institutions are not merely buildings but vital pillars of rural self-reliance, creating job opportunities and improving livelihoods for many families. Yogi noted that Mau, once struggling with identity issues, is now gaining a new identity due to these institutions.
The Chief Minister referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, urging citizens to take five pledges for a developed India by the centenary of independence. He emphasized pride in heritage, the need to eliminate the mentality of slavery, and the importance of unity against divisive forces.
Yogi concluded that the dream of a developed India can only be realized through the development of villages. He assured that the state government stands firmly behind such initiatives and will provide all possible support for projects that benefit the nation.
Present at the inauguration were Minister for Urban Development and Energy A.K. Sharma, Minister Dara Singh Chauhan, Transport Minister Daya Shankar Singh, BJP District President Ramashray Maurya, and the hospital’s founder Brigadier Dr. P.N. Singh.
