Strengthening Border Security: A Decision Welcomed by All, Says Nisit Pramanik

Kolkata, May 12: The newly formed BJP government in West Bengal, led by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, has swiftly moved to enhance border security. Just three days after taking office, Adhikari announced a significant decision to acquire land in areas without fencing, which will be handed over to the central government within 45 days. Newly appointed minister Nisit Pramanik praised this initiative, stating, “The people of West Bengal and the entire country are pleased with this decision as it will strengthen the nation’s security framework.”

In a special interview, Pramanik also criticized Tamil Nadu’s Leader of the Opposition, Udhayanidhi Stalin, suggesting that he should be ousted due to the heavy voting against him in his state. He emphasized that those who speak against Sanatan Dharma should not have a place in India, asserting that the country is the land of Sanatanis, which teaches respect.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Shobhandeb Chattopadhyay, raised concerns regarding the government’s decision on land allocation for border fencing, recalling past controversies where local residents strongly opposed land acquisition. Chattopadhyay also targeted the government over alleged removals of around 3.5 million names from the electoral rolls, which he claimed have been legally challenged, and questioned the appointment of former election commission officials to significant administrative positions.
