
New Delhi, January 23. A confrontation erupted between the Delhi Crime Branch and notorious criminals on Thursday night in the national capital. The police successfully apprehended two shooters linked to the Himanshu alias Bhau gang following the encounter.
According to police officials, the Crime Branch received a tip-off indicating that shooters from the Himanshu gang were traveling in a white I-20 car, potentially planning to execute a crime in the area. Acting on the information, the Crime Branch team set up a blockade and attempted to stop the suspicious vehicle.



As the police signaled the car to halt, the suspects attempted to flee. During the escape, one of the accused, Vicky alias Mowgli, fired two rounds at the police team with the intent to kill. The sudden gunfire caused panic at the scene. However, the police maintained their composure and responded effectively.

In the exchange of fire, Vicky suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and collapsed. The police were then able to subdue him. His accomplice, Chander Bhan, was also apprehended without any injuries during the blockade. The injured suspect has been admitted to a nearby hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Vicky alias Mowgli and Chander Bhan. Both suspects have been on the police radar for an extended period and are wanted in several criminal cases. Authorities also recovered illegal firearms and ammunition from their possession. Initial investigations revealed that both were hired by the gang to carry out contract killings.



The Delhi Police are currently examining the suspects’ criminal records and investigating their involvement in recent criminal activities. A thorough investigation is underway, and efforts to locate other members of the gang are ongoing.
