Mumbai, May 7: Actress Nidhi Shah, who gained popularity for her role as Kinjal in the TV show ‘Anupama’, is set to make her mark in the digital world with her upcoming OTT series where she will portray the character Vedha. Expressing her excitement, Nidhi shared that this role is very special to her. She mentioned that she enjoyed stepping out of her comfort zone and trying something new.
Nidhi praised her new character Vedha, describing her as passionate and ambitious. “Vedha lives in a world where power and survival are crucial. The most interesting aspect is how she navigates these challenges while maintaining her identity,” Nidhi explained.
For Nidhi, this digital debut has been both thrilling and challenging. She noted, “This is my first step into the digital space. The acting and storytelling methods are quite different from television. I truly enjoyed trying something new and stepping out of my comfort zone.”
The actress expressed gratitude for the love she received as Kinjal but emphasized that Vedha is a completely different character. “She is strong, multi-layered, and her story is very distinct. As an actor, I wanted to explore a new facet of myself,” she added.
Nidhi also highlighted the differences between working in TV and OTT. According to her, the schedule in television is much faster, while OTT allows actors to slow down and focus on the nuances. “The storytelling approach is more subtle and realistic, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This has been the most different character so far,” she remarked.
It is noteworthy that Nidhi Shah played the role of Kinjal in Rupali Ganguly’s popular TV show ‘Anupama’, which is a remake of the Bengali series ‘Shrimoyi’. Her character Kinjal received a lot of love from the audience.
