
New Delhi, May 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, reflecting on the mandate received from four states and Union Territories, including West Bengal and Assam. He emphasized that the BJP-NDA currently governs over 20 states in the country, reiterating the party’s commitment to public service with the mantra “Citizen Devotion.” He stated that the public is increasingly trusting the BJP, recognizing that where the BJP is, good governance and development follow.
Modi expressed that the dream of a strong and prosperous Bengal, which has been awaited for decades, has now been realized. He declared that a new chapter has begun for Bengal, which is now free from fear and filled with hope for development.
He also paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, noting that his soul must be at peace today, as he had founded the Janata Party in 1951, instilling in every worker the message of living and dying for the nation. Modi acknowledged the struggles faced by BJP workers in West Bengal, stating that many have dedicated their lives to this victory.
The Prime Minister assured the citizens of Bengal that the BJP will work tirelessly for a better future, promising safety for women, employment for youth, and measures to prevent migration. He announced that the Ayushman scheme will be approved in the first cabinet meeting and that strict actions will be taken against infiltrators.
Modi dedicated the victory to the people of Bengal, stating that while the evening of May 4 may be setting, a new sunrise has emerged on the sacred land of Bengal.
